Senior DT Technician

Wigmore Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Technician to provide support for the staff and pupils in the Design and Technology department. You would be joining an established and friendly team in a popular and high achieving school.

Based at the High School you would be responsible to the Head of Design Technology in co-ordinating the use of, and development of, practical resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirement of the DT curriculum, as well as liaising with all areas of the school and outside organisations.

The Governance Professional will provide advice and guidance to the governing board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. This professional clerk role will contribute towards the efficient functioning a governing board and its committees by providing:
• administrative and organisational support;
• guidance to ensure that the board works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework, and understands the potential consequences for non-compliance; and
• advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the board.
This role would suit someone who already has experience in a similar role or is highly organised and up to date with current guidance and is prepared to make a commitment to attend the National Training Programme for Clerks or its equivalent.

Reporting to the Exams Officer this role requires you to assist with the administration and smooth running of public and school examinations.

This will include;

Assisting with the setting up, assisting candidates prior to the start of exams, advising candidates, of the allotted time, exam rules, supervise candidates throughout the exam ensuring that candidates do not talk or attempt to distract others during the exam, dealing with queries raised by candidates during the exam, check attendance during exams, collecting and collating scripts at the end of the exam.Training available.

Cleaner

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and efficient individual for 12.5 hours per week (term time plus 4 weeks only) to join our friendly team. The hours will be from 3.30pm until 6.00pm (Mon-Fri)

The role requires you to provide and maintain a clean and pleasant environment to enable the use of the school by staff and pupils and to prevent any health risks from occurring.

The role requires you to transport pupils from home to school in the mornings, return them in the afternoons using a school minibus and provide appropriate assistance to the pupils in the absence of an escort. This role could be considered for a job share.
