GCSE Results 2016

Congratulations to the 2016 Year 11 pupils at Wigmore School who achieved some outstanding individual results. A number of pupils achieved nine or ten A*/A grades. Once again attainment in English and maths was strong and set to be well above national average with 81% of pupils achieving an A*-C grade in English. Over two thirds of pupils achieved an A*-C in both core subjects.

Headteacher, Mr Curtis, commented: “Well done to our Year 11 pupils who have all worked incredibly hard to reach their potential. There have been some excellent individual results with a number of pupils surpassing expectations. Our pupils should be proud of their achievements. Thank you to all our fantastic staff who, along with parents, have supported the pupils throughout their five years of education at the school. Our Year 11 pupils have been excellent ambassadors for the school developing into well-rounded young adults. We wish them well for the future and look forward to seeing them again at our Celebration Evening in November.”
