The School Council is a very important part of our school life. Every year, two children from each class are voted in by their peers to represent them at the School Council. The Council itself is the voice of the children and we hold regular meetings to discuss a variety of subject to do with everyday school life. Each council member has a responsibility within their own classroom to discuss issues and ideas with their class friends, as well as class teacher, and feed back to the school council as a whole.
As we believe that the British Values are very important, we aim to ensure that every child within the school has a voice and that their opinions and ideas are carefully thought about and considered.
Areas of discussion could, for example, include school improvement plans, commemorative or celebratory even planning, classroom resources and development or the ecological wellbeing and development of the school as a whole.
We will publish regular updates here on the website starting in September.
