High School Open Evening
The next Open Evening for admissions into Year 7 for September 2026 will take place on Thursday 2nd October 2025.
Senior staff visit the feeder primary schools in September each year to introduce themselves and invite Year 6 pupils to Open Evening.
Taster Days
Each year we invite pupils from local schools to our taster days in Year 5. These give primary pupils a chance to experience some high school lessons.
This year, taster days will take place in June/July 2026, exact dates will be arranged with individual schools. Information will be sent home via the relevant primary schools in the Summer Term. If your child does not attend a local primary school but is interested in attending a Year 5 taster day, please contact the school office for details after May half term.
Year 6 Transition
Senior staff visit all Year 6 pupils who have a place at Wigmore High for the following September in their primary schools in May to introduce themselves and answer questions about Wigmore High School. A new pupil handbook will be given to pupils as part of these visits. Dates for these visits are arranged with each individual primary school.
All Year 6 pupils who have a place at Wigmore High School for September 2026 will be invited to attend an important information evening with their parents Wednesday 1st July 2026 at 5.30pm. This will be followed by an induction day on Thursday 2nd July 2026 where pupils will spend the day with their new form tutor and classmates and start to get to know their new school.
