PGL 2025

PGL 2025 – A Year 7 Adventure to Remember!

To celebrate the end of their first year at Wigmore, our Year 7 pupils swapped classrooms for campfires as they set off on an unforgettable residential to PGL 2025 - the perfect reward for a year of hard work, growth, and new friendships.

PGL 2025 offered something just as magical: the chance for pupils to challenge themselves, grow in independence, and bond even more closely with their peers. Set in the heart of the great outdoors, this action-packed adventure saw our students push their limits and embrace every opportunity thrown their way.

From raft building and abseiling to testing their aim with rifle shooting and archery, the days were filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of wet trainers! The towering Jacob’s Ladder and a series of tricky problem-solving tasks had pupils working together, thinking creatively, and cheering each other on every step of the way.

But the fun didn’t stop when the evenings came. Evenings brought with them lively team games - including the now-legendary ‘Canoff’ - and ended with traditional campfire songs under the stars. Marshmallows may or may not have made an appearance…

Throughout the trip, pupils showed amazing resilience, teamwork, and spirit. They returned home a little wetter, a lot braver, and with memories (and friendships) that will last a lifetime.

PGL 2025 wasn’t just a residential - it was the perfect end to Year 7, and a brilliant beginning to the rest of their Wigmore journey.
