Acorn Class is part of Wigmore Primary School and therefore, joins in with all the planned events and activities that take place throughout the year. We also experience the world outside of the school environment by visiting the local care home where we participate in activities with the elderly residents to support each other’s friendship and develop communication skills. We have close links with the village shop and the Wigmore Show where we display our artwork. We regularly go on country walks, exploring the world around us and the changing seasons. All children are invited on trips and visits to farms, zoos, the beach and places of interest that relate to our termly topics. We also go on trips to local attractions such as the theatre or Croft Castle.
